Adult education
Next to the courses we provide for young people, we offer adult education. Adult education includes
part-time vocational training, pre-vocational training, courses
including literacy, computer skills and English, reintegration
programmes, civic integration and Dutch as a second language.
Training for businesses
ROC Midden
Nederland also provides education and training for businesses: every
course is customised to the company’s requirements and fine-tuned to
meet the demands of the relevant business sector and of the company
itself.
The education we provide is progressive and innovative. Our aim is to seamlessly integrate education and training with the labour market. A major development in this context is the introduction of competence-based education. This lays the emphasis on what people can do, not only on what they know.
Students learn in realistic practical situations, with teachers taking on more of the role of a coach. We have on-site training and business units in areas including Information Technology, where students run the service desk and have responsibility for keeping the IT systems at a particular location up and running.
